“Before, we hesitated and doubted a lot of our plays. Now we play with more confidence. The plays might not be perfect, everyone makes mistakes, but when we commit they usually work out.”

At MSI 2025, G2 had a promising start with a win over Gen.G, one of the top LCK contenders, but were ultimately knocked out after a 3-1 loss to the same team in the upper bracket (Esports Insider) and a sweeping 3-0 defeat to FlyQuest in the lower bracket (eGamersWorld).
“MSI was a big wake up call for us. We realized we had to step up, and we saw some of the ways they played that we could kind of copy paste. It was a great experience, even though we got beat pretty badly.”
The same applies to their showing at the Esports World Cup, where the result was again a stark reminder of the gap between domestic dominance and international readiness. Nonetheless, these experiences have raised G2’s internal standards, driving their evolution across teamfights, macro decisions, and draft versatility.
“It’s the first undefeated regular season I’ve had. I’m happy with it. We’re playing well, and now we need to keep it up for playoffs.”

“We still have a long way to go, so the next month or two is super important. If we give it our all in scrims and pick up as many things as possible, we can become the best.”

“We definitely want to get the LEC title, because we failed to do it the other two splits this year. That’s definitely our main focus for now.”

“Going into best of fives we need to be creative in later games. We like those chaotic games.”
